europan 7göteborg. sweden
urban future presented a scheme for the europan 7 series set in gothenburg. the competition brief called for a resolution to connect the isolated suburban communities to the urban infrastructure and other 'topological islands' situated on the fringe of the city. ufo conceived an artificial landscape, draping over new urban programme and existing extreme terrain. this new landscape performed as a series of ramped surfaces flowing from the plateaus to the lower valleys, connecting and interlacing new activities buried within its surface.
