new school of architecture (monash universitymelbourne. australia
urban future organization played a key role as consultants for the design and documentation of the new monash school of architecture. the concept of the project was to capture a series of key actions such as seated, model making, presenting, or circulation and transition these key moments through a topology of folding walls. the entire project was 3d modelled precisely within a cad package ( rhino ) to employ fully documented construction and shop drawings from the one solid file. An unfolding algorithm was implemented on the model to efficiently panelise the surfaces.
