We are so pleased to be sponsoring the 2023 Institute of Australian Geographers conference: IAG2023 Coexistence, Collaboration and Geography.
The conference theme of ‘Coexistence, Collaboration and Geography’ intends to foster an inclusive approach to the disciplinary diversity of geography. The conference will include perspectives spanning spatial, physical and human geography, including both academic and practitioner perspectives.
Dr Hao Chen, AURIN’s Spatial Database Software Developer, will be speaking at the IAG Health Geography Study Group workshop on Monday 3 July. The topic of the workshop is: Health Geographer’s needs for data and analysis techniques to tackle social and environmental challenges. Hao will be speaking about AURIN’s AusUrbHi project. The workshop is free to attend for conference attendees and will run from 9.30am-2.30pm.
Our director, Pascal Perez, will be speaking at the conference on Wednesday 5 July at 5pm about the foundations of the Australian Urban Digital Twin.
The IAG conference brings together over 120 attendees from across Australia and will invite the consideration of cross-disciplinary collaborations to address some of the complex problems our communities are faced with today.
It’s a great opportunity for AURIN to meet and speak with geographers with a range of different viewpoints, and to discuss how our data and spatial tools can help their work.
If you’re at IAG2023 next week, please make sure to say hello!
